Title Technologies, Inc. (T.T.I.) has created this Privacy Policy in order to demonstrate
our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering
and dissemination practices for all of our Internet services, including the website
located at www.titletec.com (“Site”), e-mail,
and WAP (Wireless Application Protocol).
Collection and Use of Data We Collect
We collect and use your IP address and browser information to help diagnose problems
with our server and as a security feature for access to secure portions of the Site.
Some services require registration, which requires users to give us personally identifiable
information (such as name and e-mail address). When required, we use customer contact
information from registration forms to authenticate users. We do not share your
personal information with other businesses or organizations for commercial purposes.
We may disclose your information to companies that provide support services to us
such as shippers when necessary to fulfill an order you have placed, printers or
mailing houses that help us market our products or services, or web hosts or designers
who help us create and maintain this Site. On certain occasions, we may also be
required to disclose personal information pursuant to lawful requests, such as subpoenas
or court orders, or as required by applicable law. Also, if the ownership of all
or a part of T.T.I. were to change, customer information pertinent to T.T.I.’s operations
would likely be transferred to, or licensed for use by, the new owner. Where online
purchases are requested by the user, we collect financial information (such as account
or credit card numbers) in order to complete the transaction. Financial information
that is collected is used only to process online transactions.
Our Site uses order forms for customers to request information, products, and/or
services. We collect visitor's contact information (like their e-mail address) and
financial information (like their account or credit card numbers). Contact information
from the order form is used to send orders and information about our company to
our customers. The customer's contact information is also used to get in touch with
the visitor when necessary.
Our Site enables users to perform online submission of title and registration applications,
paper tags and for other products. If a user registers for these services, the information
the user provides is used to set up an Account or Accounts and to process the transactions
in the normal course of business related to these Accounts. To do this, this information
is provided to T.T.I. and the Tax Collector(s) or their designated Agent through
the t21 User Setup Form and the Enrollment Form and Authorization Agreement. Whether
provided by T.T.I. or directly by the user, the Tax Collector(s), and their designated
Agent(s)_ is obligated to treat all such information as private and confidential,
and to use it solely for the purposes of providing online access via the t21 Program.
Registration to perform title and registration or inquiry transactions requires
the signing of a t21 Software License Agreement and either a t21 Dealer’s Express
and Limited Branch Office Contract (LBO) or Express and Limited Office Agent Contract
(ELA) Agreement.
We use “cookies” as additional security measures. Cookies are used to save logon
information and for session-state information. We also use cookies to verify rights
to view pages and if a user does not have the proper rights to view a page, the
user is redirected to the logon page of the Site.
Security
This Site has security measures in place such as SSL (secure socket layers), IP
address validation, i-Key digital certificate validation (the i-Key is a USB device
that contains a smart chip on which is stored a digital certificate) and other industry
standard measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information
under our control. Such measures include regular security reviews, upgrades, and
backups. We use reasonable efforts to maintain the security and reliability of our
infrastructure; however, THEY ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS
OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF ANY KIND INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, RELIABILITY,
OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE OFFER NO ASSURANCE OF UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE
SERVICE, NOR DOES T.T.I. WARRANT THE ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY SERVICE. IN
NO EVENT SHALL T.T.I. BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT
LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF INFORMATION)
ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SYSTEM, EVEN IF T.T.I. HAS BEEN ADVISED
OF SUCH DAMAGES.

for each county that desires to host its own data. For counties that do not wish
to host the application, we host it for them. Each County server is also pointed
to a dedicated server we host for VIN validation.
Surveys
From time to time, we may provide you the opportunity to participate in a survey
about our services, products and/or Site. Your feedback helps us identify customer
needs, levels of satisfaction, and improve and/or develop new services and products
for you. Your participation in these surveys is always voluntary.
Children’s Guidelines
We are aware of the need to protect children’s privacy. We therefore do not knowingly
collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen
(13). If we become aware that a child under the age of thirteen (13) has provided
personally identifiable information to us through our Site, we will delete it from
our records. If you are under the age of thirteen (13), please do not attempt to
provide any personally identifiable information through our Site.
Subscription-based Service
Our Site requires registration for subscription-based services. Nevertheless, our
Site always provides users the opportunity to view information about the service
offered through the t21 Program.
Changes to this Policy
T.T.I. reserves the right to change this policy at any time. When such changes to
the policy are made they will be posted at this same location, and the “Last Updated”
date above will be changed. Your continued use of our Site following the posting
of changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes. Information collected
prior to the time any change is posted will be used according to the rules and laws
that applied at the time the information was collected.
