Solera’s TitleTec Ignites Phase of Rapid Growth with Appointment of Daniel Burgess as Managing Director
Burgess brings insight, experience and a proven track record of success in the industry
DALLAS – April 15, 2015 – TitleTec, a Solera [NYSE: SLH] company, has brought in Daniel Burgess, an experienced leader in the automotive space, to spearhead the company’s efforts as it prepares for rapid expansion. Burgess carries with him an automotive pedigree that has been crafted in leadership roles with premiere names in the industry, including BCA Europe, HPI, and Nissan.
TitleTec is the market leader of electronic titling solutions in both Florida and Georgia, and holds an overall customer retention rate of 98%. When the state of Georgia implemented their Electronic Title and Registration system in October of 2012, TitleTec’s technology advances and proprietary benefits quickly made it the most popular choice among Georgia dealers, out of the three participating vendors.
Burgess’s appointment comes at an opportune time for TitleTec, as recent internal innovations have made the company more agile and ready for growth than ever before.
“Because our electronic titling solutions are meticulously designed to suit the specific needs of each state, it has taken time to perfect how our teams build those solutions,” said Ryan Howard, Director of Technology at TitleTec. “We now have the technical expertise to produce these solutions more efficiently, and Burgess’s appointment adds the expert direction to coordinate upcoming expansion.”
TitleTec recently released TitleTec Nationwide Auto Titling, which allows automobile dealers to complete out-of-state title and registration work for customers from all 50 States. TitleTec is also nearing its release of TitleTec South Carolina, which will offer South Carolina automobile dealers the streamlined workflow enjoyed by TitleTec’s Electronic Titling customers in Virginia, Maryland, Florida and Georgia.
“There are 20 states who currently utilize electronic titling, and that number is growing,” said Burgess. “As we’ve seen in the past, TitleTec quickly becomes the provider of choice when we enter a state, and that is because we offer the most cost-effective and easy to use system available. We are excited to make those same benefits available to auto dealers across all 50 states.”
TitleTec, a wholly owned subsidiary of Solera Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: SLH), provides an industry-leading suite of web-based products to the automobile dealership market. TitleTec’s solutions save time and money for automobile dealerships and local governments by replacing the manual system used to register and title motor vehicles with an electronic real-time interface that connects the automobile dealers directly with State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). The ease of use, proprietary technology and industry leading customer service has made TitleTec a trusted leader in Title and Registration software.
